SKS-Kinkel

Entrance solutions

Keep doorbell names up to date: the integration with SKS-Kinkel automatically transfers residents' names to the doorbell system on move-in, name change and move-out.

Feature description

Have the names on your doorbell displays maintained automatically from Allthings, with no manual entries for move-in, move-out or name changes.

About the solution: The SKS-Kinkel doorbell system is a digital doorbell and door intercom system. Each apartment has an entry on the display at the building entrance showing the names of the residents. The system is networked and can be controlled centrally. It requires networked SKS hardware with an internet connection. Older, non-networked systems cannot be connected.

Your added value through the Allthings integration: Where doorbell names are maintained by hand, they have to be updated one by one at every change. This takes time, leads to outdated entries and causes on-site visits. With the Allthings integration, this effort is no longer needed. Allthings is the leading source: names are taken from the rental periods you already manage in Allthings. For shared flats, all names are shown at the same time. Owners are only shown as long as the apartment is not rented out. A daily comparison automatically corrects any missed changes. You reduce effort in property management, avoid incorrect labels and create a professional impression at the entrance. Setup is usually carried out by the Allthings team.

How it works for your residents:

  1. Move in: The rental period starts and the name automatically appears on the apartment's doorbell.

  2. Living together: If several people live in one apartment, each person gets their own entry.

  3. Change name: A name change in Allthings is applied to the doorbell shortly afterwards.

  4. Move out: After move-out, the entry is removed automatically after a short grace period. This avoids a gap when tenants change on the same day.

Key features at a glance:

  • Automatic name transfer: Residents' names are transferred from Allthings to the doorbell system. The first name is shown on the first line, the last name on the second.

  • Move-in and move-out without manual work: New entries, changes and removals run fully automatically.

  • Shared flats: All residents of an apartment are displayed at the same time.

  • Adjustable grace period: On request, it is defined how long a name stays visible after move-out (default: one day).

  • Clean initial setup: Default entries created during installation can be removed automatically at the start.

  • Daily check: A nightly comparison ensures that the doorbell and Allthings match.

Technical feature elements

Allthings data structure

This solution leverages the central Allthings data structure. As a result, all data relating to users, units, buildings, and projects is based directly on the standard Allthings data model.

Allthings role and permissions

This feature allows connected solutions to inherit roles and permissions directly from Allthings. This ensures that standard roles—such as property managers and caretakers—along with their permissions, are seamlessly utilized.

Native integration

Native integration provides a custom-tailored view for the external solution. This ensures seamless integration on both the backend and the frontend.
